The Valtelline

Twelve kilometres from Boomerang is Valtellina with its broad array of fun and entertain-ment the whole year round including culture (various events), gastronomy (well-known specialities: pizzoccheri, bresaola and sciat), sports (skiing, mountain biking and hiking in the mountains), and wellness (the magnificent Bagni Vecchi (old baths) or the impressive new baths of Bormio). The weekly street markets and spring fairs, especially on Whitsun-day, are not to be missed.

Tirano (in the immediate vicinity), Bormio, Teglio and Livigno (just over half an hour’s drive away) are all well worth visiting.

The little red train of the Bernina running through the Poschiavo Valley crosses the Bern-ina Pass at over 2000 metres, connecting Tirano and St. Moritz.
